Clear skies welcomed the 2813 spectators who had made their way to Yayita´s Coliseum. Ton Zwaanswijk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Nils-Ove Vinskog and Keegan Pswarayi. Sirious tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: López - Hayoun, Borgdorff, Kajmaković - Laviña, Censilla, Balaguer, Boscà, Hegedűs - Pärnänen, Sučan.

Nord-Ost had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation. Starters: Rampone - Micciani, Sliunkovas, Grabarczyk, Manzano López, Elçibəy - Avrahami, Järvinen, Polizzi - Mattesini, Mahlambeni.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Nord-Ost. Sirious's G. Borgdorff tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. Nord-Ost almost scored after a swift counterattack 16 minutes into the game, but İ. Elçibəy put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. Sirious made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left B. Hayoun completely alone with keeper A. Rampone, who made a spectacular block. 34 minutes into the game, Nord-Ost seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. Nord-Ost's T. Mahlambeni could have put the guests one up after 40 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but J. López was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. Nord-Ost caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 42 minutes into the match. F. Grabarczyk was able to finish off the move - 0 - 1. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Sirious had most of the ball, with 72 percent of possession.

During the break, Nord-Ost's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. A. Pärnänen was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Sirious with a strike from the left, but A. Rampone managed to ward the shot off for a corner. After 61 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Nord-Ost found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to poor. Sirious put pressure on the visitors' central defence 62 minutes into the game, but J. Sučan couldn't find an opening. A. Pärnänen charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Sirious, but the shot went well wide of the goal. Sirious's J. Sučan almost tied things up with 71 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post. Nord-Ost were great at switching from defence to attack, and after 72 minutes, J. Järvinen swept through the middle on a counterattack, making the score 0 - 2. The referee showed Nord-Ost's J. Järvinen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The unexpected cross pass from Sirious's G. Borgdorff after 75 minutes opened up the defence and was received by I. Hegedűs who finished off for 1 - 2. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 80 minutes into the match, an alert A. Pärnänen bagged the ball for Sirious, levelling the score to 2 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Sirious, with 76 percent of the ball.

As neither team was able to break the deadlock before the end of regular play, the teams took to the field again for extra time. A review of the gameplan helped Nord-Ost get back to a passable organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. Nord-Ost's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 109 minutes gone, but O. Avrahami's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. The result was still a draw, so the match had to be settled with penalties.

Sirious's J. Censilla kept his cool as he faced down A. Rampone. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 3 - 2. Nord-Ost's R. Sliunkovas didn't look like he was confident as he stepped up, and produced a badly struck penalty - right into the arms of J. López. The score remained 3 - 2. Sirious's F. Boscà, obviously having last minute doubts, produced a loose ball to the right post. Unfortunately A. Rampone made a premature move to the left and didn't make it back. New score: 4 - 2. Oooh - how unlucky! Nord-Ost's F. Grabarczyk attempt hit the underside of the bar, but rebounded down into the grateful arms of J. López. The score stays 4 - 2. Sirious's P. Balaguer coolly put the ball past A. Rampone. 5 - 2. Clearly nervous from the start, Nord-Ost's J. Manzano López took a long run up, but could only blast the ball over the bar. The score remains 5 - 2. Sirious's I. Hegedűs showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 6 - 2. Nord-Ost's A. Rampone looked like he knew exactly where he wanted to put the ball, but unfortunately his shot went wide of the left hand post. Still 6 - 2. Sirious's B. Hayoun was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 7 - 2! Nord-Ost's S. Mattesini made no mistake. J. López didn't have a chance. 7 - 3. The most dominating Sirious player was without a doubt F. Boscà. J. López was a disappointment, however. Nord-Ost's top performer was clearly T. Mahlambeni. İ. Elçibəy on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 7 - 3.
