previous 1/10 next 3/10  Real 0 - 3 quantaltro (393191035)

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 922 to Hills Arena. Francisco Elorriaga was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Henk van Wanrooij and Annunziato Torre. Real tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Herold - Lazović, Laboreiro, Herrero - Crugliano, Beati, Balluku, Sebartoli, Pirletti - Guerrera, Glawitsch.

quantaltro decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. They fielded: Boertjens - De Cristofaro, Briani, Rivelloni, Pintér - Lüthje, Staniek, Mosca, Reiter - Tagani, Tezze.

Today, quantaltro's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. quantaltro had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of quantaltro's Á. Pintér after 23 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. Real tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. Real had no available replacements when A. Guerrera had to leave the game after 36 minutes because of a pulled tendon, leaving the team a man short. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Real enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

F. Mosca of quantaltro was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. H. Lüthje's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert F. Reiter was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for quantaltro. 0 - 2. B. Rivelloni received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 77 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The quantaltro fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Real claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

The most dominating Real player was without a doubt M. Balluku. However, R. Herrero made a disastrous appearance. Most important quantaltro player was P. Staniek. E. Briani was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 3.
