Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 45000 at Arena pod Planino today. Enrique Lage was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Batista Ramos and Mitchell Cameron. Perkmandlc had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Klintquist - Primdal, Cannau, Kluy - Stoeffler, van Rossum, Ovaska, Muren, Lequeux - Oviedo, Vichi.

Transhumans tactics involved an interesting 4-3-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Barzel - Flemings, Igaz, Armillei, Egelmeers - Caparvi, Rollwald, Komel - Patronis, Vidal, Dornig.

Transhumans were relying on their ability to counter-attack. 1 minutes into the game, Transhumans wanted to bring some new energy to their game. P. Armillei gave D. Dominko burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. After 17 minutes S. Stoeffler made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to S. Oviedo who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 1 - 2. 25 minutes in, Perkmandlc's S. Oviedo received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. S. Oviedo was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Perkmandlc with a strike from the left, but B. Barzel managed to ward the shot off for a corner. After 32 minutes, Perkmandlc's S. Stoeffler swiftly ran past J. Egelmeers and nutmegged the keeper! 2 - 2. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 33 minutes allowed Á. Igaz to score for Transhumans. The scoreboard now read 2 - 3. 34 minutes in, and Perkmandlc were able to score the equalising goal to make it 3 - 3 when J. Ovaska picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. 3 - 3 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Perkmandlc, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

Perkmandlc broke through on the left 47 minutes into the game, with N. Muren firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 4 - 3 lead. A great save by keeper B. Barzel after 54 minutes kept the visitors in the game after M. Vichi struck from the left with a real cannonball. Transhumans showed their counterattack skill 55 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with M. Vidal scoring uncontested for 4 - 4. After a fine move down the middle A. Lequeux nearly gave the home side a goal after 56 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. A penalty was given after 65 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 4 - 5. J. Egelmeers was the scorer. A. Lequeux showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 66 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 5 - 5 equaliser away. Making his way up the middle 67 minutes into the match, S. Oviedo almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert B. Barzel blocked it to keep the score level. After 89 minutes, the Transhumans coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving D. Dominko off the field. B. Lozič took his place. Perkmandlc enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

As neither team had managed to win, extra time was called. M. Vidal would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. C. Hayes entered the game for Transhumans as the match clock showed 91 minutes. Perkmandlc will have to do without A. Lequeux for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 110 minute mark. He was substituted by Ž. Zadnjik. Still tied after extra time, the crowd was buzzing as the teams prepared for a penalty shoot-out to determine the winner.

Clearly nervous from the start, Perkmandlc's J. Ovaska took a long run up, but could only blast the ball over the bar. The score remains 5 - 5. Transhumans's J. Egelmeers drove the ball hard to the corner but couldn't get it past the outstretched arm of P. Klintquist. The score remains 5 - 5. Perkmandlc's G. van Rossum penalty shot was very well placed but B. Barzel went the right way, blocking it spectacularly. The score was still 5 - 5. Transhumans's V. Rollwald cockily booted the ball with a short-and-fast instep. The penalty, going just wide of the mark, didn't produce a goal. Perkmandlc's N. Muren didn't hesitate but B. Barzel managed the save, resulting in an unchanged 5 - 5 score. Transhumans's B. Barzel was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 5 - 6! Perkmandlc's P. Klintquist kept his cool as he faced down B. Barzel. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 6 - 6. Transhumans's G. Caparvi coolly put the ball past P. Klintquist. 6 - 7. A confident U. Cannau of Perkmandlc put the ball right where he wanted, but B. Barzel was right there for the save. No goal. Transhumans's M. Flemings drove the ball hard to the corner but couldn't get it past the outstretched arm of P. Klintquist. The score remains 6 - 7. G. van Rossum performed admirably for Perkmandlc. Ž. Zadnjik on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Transhumans player was without a doubt C. Komel. B. Lozič was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 7.
