At this point, it was obvious that the players of Chelsea lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Chelsea to 4 - 0 as M. Viheriälehto finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. 4 - 0 was the halftime score. Chelsea claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.

In the lead, Chelsea adjusted their style of play with 60 minutes gone. The Chelsea coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 60 minutes into the game. After a short break after 60 minutes, Chelsea seemed to change their tactical approach a bit. Kjeldahl could have increased the lead after 73 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Chelsea had most of the ball, with 67 percent of possession.

Chelsea's best player was D. Voccoli. T. Kjeldahl turned in a dismal performance, however. Z. Nasra performed admirably for Ettaraji. M. Raddaoui was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 0.
