Clear skies welcomed the 686 spectators who had made their way to Santiago Ghiozzo. Răzvan Rosca was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Valery Khairov and Jeronimo Burkhart Perez. Chionners had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. They fielded: Pilotino - Schilder, Sierpaga, Princivalle - Polledri, Ploştinaru, van Anrooij, Lloveras - Losco, Burioni, Tafani.

Fegatello started off with a 4-3-3 lineup. Starters: Danesi - Tzenov, Morrone, Tzalakostas, Oksal - Rusu, Bussigel, Nerland - Cravarezza, Kübler, Recinella.

Fegatello mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. After 3 minutes, the visitors nearly went up a goal, but A. Morrone's free kick hit the crossbar. Chionners took the lead 17 minutes in, as R. Burioni broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. R. Burioni should probably have put his team up another goal after 34 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by L. Danesi kept the visitors in the game. P. Schilder received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 37 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. 38 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as A. Princivalle broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Chionners. Halftime score was 2 - 0. Chionners had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

L. Tafani wanted to play on, but the Chionners coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 50 minutes into the game by A. Ziołkowski. With 58 minutes played, Chionners's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to R. Burioni he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 3 - 0. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Chionners coach let A. Galván replace I. Ploştinaru after 60 minutes. Chionners solidified their lead at the 63 minute mark, as P. Losco dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0. Confident in their lead, Chionners's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. A. Sierpaga left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 70 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. R. Feret was the replacement. B. Lloveras became the new Chionners captain. After 71 minutes, Fegatello's L. Danesi fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! Things were deteriorating for the away team as Chionners scored another to make it 5 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for R. Feret after 73 minutes. Chionners's B. Lloveras increased the lead to 6 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 79 minutes. Fegatello had to make a substitution after 81 minutes. A. Morrone limped off the field and was replaced by F. Trombone. With 85 minutes played, Chionners put themselves up 7 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to P. Losco, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Possession in this half belonged to Chionners, who controlled the ball 68 percent of the time.

Chionners's best player was A. Galván. J. Pilotino was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Fegatello player was without a doubt D. Recinella. K. Bussigel turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 7 - 0.
