With the clock showing 12 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Esquifit resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by G. Cristante in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. Número managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when E. Gerhardsson cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. With 21 minutes played, S. Larrea of Esquifit fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Número enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

With 51 minutes played, Número put themselves up 3 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to E. Gerhardsson, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Esquifit's I. Barbosa Jr. got himself booked for a foul. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 65 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but G. Barcelona got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. Número's J. Alija swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. P. Mantel of Número received a yellow card after 86 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Número claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.

J. Alija performed admirably for Número. C. Bordoni turned in a dismal performance, however. Esquifit's top performer was clearly S. Larrea. G. Rossetti on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 0.
