Juta 4 - 3 Luttijad (186761862)

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Tagahoov saw a crowd turnout of 43092. Antonio Di Pietro was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Kilian Hurst and Joxe Mari Berriz. Juta tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. They fielded: Ots - Raud, Nõmme, Puusepp - Õnnelemb, Karind, Nestra, Ohtla, Askarov - Padovani, Ärsis.

Luttijad had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Laanemäe - Nilsen, Grönin, Yngvesson - Kõiva, Tikhonin, Joorits, Kadastik - Trummi, Voevodin, Kivi.

Luttijad mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. 3 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Juta was R. Ohtla. A. Voevodin came close to levelling the score 4 minutes into the game, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post. Juta solidified their lead at the 11 minute mark, as A. Askarov dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Juta lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. 25 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as R. Ärsis broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Juta. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave O. Õnnelemb from Juta a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 26 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Luttijad claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

With 49 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Luttijad showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 3 - 1 when R. Nilsen got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. The home team's fans were upset when, after 57 minutes, the visiting H. Kadastik broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 3 - 2 was the score. Luttijad levelled the score after 70 minutes to make it 3 - 3, as L. Joorits struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. The home side put themselves ahead 4 - 3 after 73 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from A. Padovani, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. Luttijad claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

The most dominating Juta player was without a doubt M. Ots. However, K. Karind made a disastrous appearance. T. Kivi performed admirably for Luttijad. E. Yngvesson was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 3.
