Clear skies welcomed the 21300 spectators who had made their way to B.Arena. Xaver Freiherr Spiegel von und zu Peckelsheim was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jan Danielsson and Niko Aikio. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Chişinău derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for B.City. Lineup: Syski - Stolz, Bieleveld, Arizmendi - Kapranidis, Ferreira, Maene, Silva Novo, Fountain - Gherman, Galitsky.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Creativitatea. The following players took the field: Pattison - Munteanu, Marsberg, Arredondo, van Mol - Roma, Mack, Laloyau, Reisinger - Lannerskog, Andronic.

B.City were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. B.City took the lead, 1 - 0, after a penalty 4 minutes into the match. J. Maene scored from the penalty spot. Creativitatea's right side looked dangerous 25 minutes in, but F. Syski made a good save on F. Marsberg's hard shot to the top corner. With 27 minutes played, O. Gherman of B.City fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. F. Syski's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from H. Reisinger's shot from the left 28 minutes into the match. After 33 minutes Creativitatea's U. Lannerskog limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. 38 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 1 - 1 as H. Reisinger struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right. F. Marsberg of Creativitatea was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Creativitatea took the lead 41 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle. W. Mack was the scorer. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Bieleveld from B.City a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 43 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Due to a severely mistimed tackle, F. Marsberg of Creativitatea spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Creativitatea claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

The referee showed B.City's G. Silva Novo the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. O. Arredondo was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Creativitatea's V. Olteanu had to come off the bench. After 61 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for W. Mack who increased Creativitatea's lead to 1 - 3. 73 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 4 as U. Lannerskog finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. By now, the players in Creativitatea felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. After 78 minutes, Creativitatea's H. Reisinger burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 5. After 83 minutes, Creativitatea's M. Roma fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! Creativitatea claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

Most important B.City player was F. Ferreira. However, I. Kapranidis made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Creativitatea player was without a doubt W. Mack. V. Olteanu was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 5.
