Clouds darkened the skies at NOVA'S Arena as 50000 spectators turned up for the match. Olli Mäntyharju was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Vasil Manov and Thomas Robertson. Ferreiro nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 32 minutes, Rojos did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, J. Borreguero was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 2. Rojos's J. Valle made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 33 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Rojos enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

The home crowd cheered when, after 63 minutes, R. Meana's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. J. Morillas challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 65 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it. The visitors' R. Meana took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 67 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Rojos. With 75 minutes played, M. Lipert of NOVAS fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The coach of Rojos was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 85 minutes, K. Slaný came on for J. Martínez. Possession in this half belonged to Rojos, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

NOVAS's best player was P. Rosener. However, J. Morillas made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Rojos player was without a doubt P. Escobar Roca. K. Slaný turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 3.
