Dark skies made the crowd of 4856 at Pod Sanovym vrskom a little nervous, but the rain held off. sk started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Lovík - Bunča, Vágvölgyi, Ciombor - Podskalecký, Dujíček, Tomčák, Vodanský, Joniec - Bolguš, Hako.

Kayserili had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Fahir - Müren, Şerbetçioğlu, Fezahan, Sulugöz, Kibar - Tokgöz, Eyüp, Karakoç - Yakacık, Adısönmez.

Kayserili's counterattack was impressive and was only stopped by a shocking foul. Somehow, the referee's cards remained in his pocket - a terrible decision! Ç. Eyüp's resulting free kick was easily saved by the keeper. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, sk's R. Hako was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 5 minutes. S. Haverkort was given a chance to change things around. sk needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 5 minutes Ľ. Vodanský made way for M. Kvetoslav. The bench was restless, and with 5 minutes passed sk's coach gave A. Koráb the opportunity the player had been hoping for. K. Podskalecký reluctantly left the field. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as S. Haverkort tried lifting the ball over keeper C. Fahir. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. When M. Kvetoslav left the game because of a back injury after 23 minutes, sk had to continue a man short due to there being no available replacements. After 24 minutes, sk raised their score by one when A. Koráb's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by R. Bolguš. 1 - 2. The home crowd cheered when, after 32 minutes, K. Yakacık's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Kayserili enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

With 51 minutes played, J. Ciombor of sk fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. S. Haverkort made a superb strike after 52 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. K. Yakacık of Kayserili was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Kayserili, with 53 percent of the ball.

sk's top performer was clearly A. Koráb. J. Vágvölgyi on the other hand, had a terrible day. Kayserili's best player was Ç. Eyüp. D. Tokgöz turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
