The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 10937 had shown up at
Kilburn FC for the match.
Ettore Brunoro was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Torben Kautz and
Christer Ekenquist.

The most controversial moment of the game was likely the penalty given after 7 minutes. Burlington's
R. van der Hoff kept his concentration, despite the upset crowd, and calmly put the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 1.
The home crowd was not impressed when
O. Nicholls came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 24 minutes. Burlington were now up 0 - 2.
Burlington increased their lead after 25 minutes when
T. Schmook broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay.
After 37 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
O. Nicholls who increased Burlington's lead to 0 - 4.
Confident in their lead, Burlington's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
R. Breen of Kilburn seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 4 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
D. MacGinn.
It was almost a goal for Kilburn following
S. Kent's good header after a corner, it went just over the bar though.
W. bin Angking of Burlington took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 42 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 5.
After 44 minutes, Burlington's
M. Castellanos fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
1 - 5 was the score after the first half.
Burlington claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 84 percent.
With 49 minutes played, Burlington put themselves up 1 - 6 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
H. Gilad.
52 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 7 as
H. Gilad finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
A drive down the left side allowed
O. Nicholls to get in close and score another goal for Burlington after 55 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 8.
At that,
O. Nicholls was noted down for a hat trick!
After 68 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
L. Moravčík a chance to increase the lead for Burlington, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 9.
After 74 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
O. Nicholls to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 10.
H. Gilad of Burlington was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
The Burlington players could smell victory in the air.
M. Castellanos wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
C. Faerber after 80 minutes.
The coach of Burlington was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 80 minutes,
G. Elf came on for
I. Zwaan.
H. Gilad left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
D. Hocker was the replacement.
Burlington enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 82 percent of possession.

R. Breen.
D. MacGinn on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Most important Burlington player was
D. Hocker.
T. Schmook was a disappointment, however.
