Cwalkers 5 - 1 Enigma (259654909)

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 43092 to Home of Stanley "Tookie" Williams. Éric Bouveret was the appointed referee. Cwalkers had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. They fielded: Mouret - Last, van der Woerd, Inberg - Happo, Dalecki, Röntynen, Ilie - Lipiński, Negrelli, Vilhelmsen.

Enigma started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. Starters: Buchanan - Sanz, Pieskä, Ben-Harush, Tabaković - Etutalo, Savgın, Komaroff, Sippola, Hektorović - Läättä.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Enigma. Cwalkers took the lead after 9 minutes as a result of J. Röntynen's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. With 11 minutes played, Cwalkers's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to S. Lipiński he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 2 - 0. After a short break after 12 minutes, Cwalkers seemed to change their tactical approach a bit. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. J. Röntynen squirmed through their central defence after 21 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. After 27 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and J. Röntynen gave the Cwalkers supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0. By then J. Röntynen had scored three goals - a hat trick! 4 - 0 was the score after the first half. Cwalkers had most of the ball, with 66 percent of possession.

E. Vilhelmsen unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. After 82 minutes, the defensive line of Enigma created a counterattack through the middle that gave J. Läättä a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. S. Lipiński's lightning pace was too much for T. Pieskä who could only look on as the Cwalkers player blasted one home. 5 - 0. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Cwalkers lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. 85 minutes into the match, J. Inberg could have extended the lead, but his powerful free kick went just over the bar. Given a free kick close to the byline, Enigma tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let J. Läättä slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 5 - 1, 87 minutes into the game. N. Last of Cwalkers was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Possession in this half belonged to Cwalkers, who controlled the ball 68 percent of the time.

Cwalkers's best player was R. Negrelli. On the other hand, J. Inberg's play was disheartening. Most important Enigma player was P. Etutalo. P. Tabaković was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 1.
