(266456947)

06-01-2010 18.00
It had rained all day, but 18948 hardy fans still made it out to
Jurne Byki Arena.
Theobald Kotfleisch was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Cristiano Zimmerli and
Mieczysław Duliński.
Jurne started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Starters: Hasenegger - Bächi, Šmit, Peksa - Marin, Garbień, Matan, Ziarnik, Gil de Atienza - Borras, Półchłopek.
Beti83 decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Zvietich - Roca, Iglesia, Sørensen - Cegama, Wierzba, Sitnicki, Maciejaszek, Vergnaud - Kobus, Angeletti.
After 32 minutes of play,
S. Półchłopek gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
F. Peksa squirmed through their central defence after 33 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0.
Jurne had to make a substitution after 35 minutes.
G. Matan limped off the field and was replaced by
T. Wycisło.
With 36 minutes played,
V. Bächi could have brought this one home for Jurne as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
Beti83's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing
R. Wierzba to score easily from the right flank for 2 - 1.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
J. Sørensen from Beti83 a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 38 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1.
Jurne had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Jurne to 3 - 1 as
J. Borras finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
By now, the players in Jurne felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
Beti83 needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 75 minutes
M. Kobus made way for
M. Eşref.
Beti83's
M. Eşref got himself booked for a foul.
The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit
F. Vergnaud just fine.
The crowd roared its approval when
D. Hasenegger somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Beti83's
M. Eşref 83 minutes into the game.
The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 85 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving
M. Eşref completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper.
With 87 minutes played,
F. Vergnaud had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Jurne, with 57 percent of the ball.
Most important Jurne player was
J. Borras.
B. Gil de Atienza was a disappointment, however.
Beti83's best player was
G. Angeletti.
N. Zvietich turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 3 - 1.
