TokachiMistral 1 - 3 Doveland (267418686)

Clear skies welcomed the 56700 spectators who had made their way to rose stadium. TokachiMistral decided to use a 5-4-1 set up. Starters: Kunt - Taniguchi, Itoh, Pihlin, Berdović, Kawashima - Del Olivo, Busi, Bernard, Vermeulen - Souza Ramos.

Doveland tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. They fielded: Sakana - Yoshioka, Horigoshi, Shiina - Kajahara, Tamazaki, Torisei, Fujishima - Ushiba, Ishihara, Hirano.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for TokachiMistral. K. Kuajara was called on to replace TokachiMistral's Y. Itoh after 27 minutes following a nasty collision. 40 minutes into the game, M. Ishihara had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. W. Vermeulen showed why he is feared on the counterattack, breaking through in the middle and scoring for TokachiMistral after 41 minutes to make the score 1 - 0. A crazy pass by T. Tamazaki towards his own keeper almost caused a goal for TokachiMistral, but W. Vermeulen didn't get the finish right. K. Kuajara's inexperience was obvious when his continual hesitation to put in a tackle allowed H. Ushiba plenty of time to pick an unguarded area of the goal for his shot, marking one for Doveland. 1 - 1. TokachiMistral almost scored after a counterattack 44 minutes into the match, but R. Souza Ramos took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Doveland claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

53 minutes into the match, Doveland nearly took the lead, as T. Tamazaki broke through on the right. S. Kunt made the save, however. TokachiMistral's S. Busi left the field after 60 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was R. Matsuda. W. Vermeulen was handed the TokachiMistral captain's armband. After 64 minutes, Doveland sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached J. Horigoshi, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 1 - 2. Doveland's K. Torisei was shown a yellow card after 65 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 67 minutes of game time, M. Ishihara had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but S. Kunt was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. After 71 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for G. Kajahara who increased Doveland's lead to 1 - 3. 74 minutes into the match, M. Ishihara came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. TokachiMistral's N. Kawashima had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 80 minutes having been played. M. Yenting was the replacement. Doveland had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

J. Bernard performed admirably for TokachiMistral. On the other hand, K. Kuajara's play was disheartening. Doveland's top performer was clearly T. Hirano. However, M. Ishihara made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 3.
