Kalalassukobra 8 - 1 Str.Praga (272244314)

19404 spectators had found their way to S.Antonio lu nemico dellu DEMONIO, despite the heavy rain. Jeroen Ravestein was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ern Molitor and Kerem Özipek. Kalalassukobra decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Mihov - Mayor, Rondelli, Robinette - Valtoila, Carreteiro, Thomas, Filipiuk, Wedby - Maciá, Tichon.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Str.Praga. Lineup: Bolognesi - Stracagnolo, Margara, Spera, Fortuna - Matassa, Cazzulani, Cubelli, Asta - Gangemi, Onorato.

Kalalassukobra were clearly looking ahead to the next match rather than focusing on the one at hand. Today, Kalalassukobra's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but P. Maciá showed great heart and had a good game. Kalalassukobra broke through on the left 4 minutes into the game, with V. Valtoila firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. F. Margara did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch. A. Cazzulani came close to levelling the score 27 minutes into the game, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post. Kalalassukobra's B. Carreteiro increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 29 minutes. The players of Kalalassukobra now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. After 30 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Kalalassukobra was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. The score became 3 - 0 at 31 minutes into the game, when Kalalassukobra were given a penalty which I. Tichon blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! Kalalassukobra increased the lead as I. Tichon struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Kalalassukobra, with 61 percent of the ball.

Kalalassukobra solidified their lead at the 47 minute mark, as I. Tichon dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 0. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for I. Tichon. The Kalalassukobra players could smell victory in the air. Z. Rondelli wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for A. Aschettino after 50 minutes. J. Filipiuk wanted to play on, but the Kalalassukobra coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 53 minutes into the game by C. Romero. Given a free kick close to the byline, Str.Praga tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let A. Matassa slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 5 - 1, 54 minutes into the game. Kalalassukobra managed to extend their lead to 6 - 1 when D. Thomas cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. A. Wedby left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 78 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. M. Lanzoni was the replacement. After 86 minutes Kalalassukobra's A. Mihov limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. Kalalassukobra caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 88 minutes into the match. D. Thomas was able to finish off the move - 7 - 1. Some things can only be learned through experience, and R. Spera should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Kalalassukobra a goal with 89 minutes of the match played. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. P. Maciá squirmed through their central defence after 89 minutes, increasing the lead to 8 - 1. Kalalassukobra claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

Most important Kalalassukobra player was I. Tichon. A. Aschettino on the other hand, had a terrible day. Str.Praga's top performer was clearly A. Cazzulani. On the other hand, L. Bolognesi's play was disheartening. The match ends 8 - 1.
