Sportif increased their lead after 34 minutes when J. Moreau broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. By now, the players in Sportif felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. A. Flodbeck could have put his team up another goal 39 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. A counterattack by 2scom after 40 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but C. Perdiguero, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. Sportif enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 81 percent of possession.

2scom's A. Martínez Sancho was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 50 minutes. With the scoreboard showing that 63 minutes had been played, Sportif nearly put themselves up another goal after A. dos Santos came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, S. Huahualuque got himself booked. The manager of Sportif was not happy. 75 minutes into the game, Sportif were awarded a penalty and J. Gouveia was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 4 rolling the ball in by the right post. O. Claude increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 5. Possession in this half belonged to Sportif, who controlled the ball 83 percent of the time.

Most important 2scom player was C. Perdiguero. L. Chatard on the other hand, had a terrible day. G. Donners performed admirably for Sportif. However, A. Flodbeck made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 5.
