previous 3/10 next 5/10  Tehran 0 - 6 Blackbulld (299157707)

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 12000 to Tehran United FC. George Negreanu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mikael Säfbratt and Cecil Vanderhaegen. All of Tehran was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby. Tehran had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation. They fielded: Paarup - Hamrah, Taleshi, Ostia, Mirshekar, Sarlak - Sadri, Pourahmad, 荣湖 (Ronghu), La rizza - Teymourtash.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Blackbulld. The following players took the field: Shafagh - Gubán, Tonietti, Östtorp - Persson, Soltanloo, Linnet, Michaeli, Buthzen - Alexov, Moscatelli.

For their match strategy, Tehran had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. After 3 minutes, Blackbulld sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached S. Moscatelli, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 1. A drive down the left side allowed B. Alexov to get in close and score another goal for Blackbulld after 5 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. The home crowd cheered when, after 19 minutes, S. Moscatelli's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. With their counter attack move halted 20 minutes into the game, Tehran were left with a free kick. The ball is passed straight through to the other end of the penalty area, with hopes for it to reach R. La rizza. However, he didn't have his wits about him and the ball went out. The home keeper was stunned 26 minutes into the match when he misjudged the free kick by F. Tonietti and dived in the wrong direction. The visitors increased the lead to 0 - 3. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Teymourtash from Tehran a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 28 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! B. Alexov sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from F. Tonietti after 31 minutes of play, making the score 0 - 4. By now, the players in Blackbulld felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. With 35 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed L. Linnet of Blackbulld to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 5. It was 0 - 5 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Blackbulld, who controlled the ball 80 percent of the time.

Blackbulld increased the lead to 0 - 6 as F. Tonietti scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. The coach of Blackbulld was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 57 minutes, A. Johansson came on for L. Linnet. The Tehran coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. 66 minutes into the match, S. Moscatelli came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. K. Paarup got a fingertip on S. Moscatelli's shot from the left 71 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. The referee showed Tehran's Z. Sadri the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Blackbulld had most of the ball, with 80 percent of possession.

Tehran's best player was K. Pourahmad. However, M. Sarlak made a disastrous appearance. Most important Blackbulld player was N. Michaeli. K. Persson turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 6.
