A scorching day at La Pazienza, where 39088 spectators were in place for today's match. Rolf Reseberg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jamie Diekerhof and Luca Marrone. Fontão came close to putting the visiting team one up 6 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but P. Gagliardini managed to tip the ball to a corner. 12 minutes into the game, V. Acosta was a hair's breadth away from giving Pilonetto the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by P. Gagliardini saved the home team that time. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile E. Frysztacki. P. Gagliardini looked great 32 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' B. Lamolina. It was 0 - 0 at the break. Pilonetto claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

After 46 minutes, the Springlike coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving T. Noronha off the field. D. Reifenberg took his place. As the 46 minute mark approached, the Springlike coach decided it was time for a substitution. G. Madden reluctantly made way for S. Mittertreiner on the pitch. 47 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Springlike substitution. J. Bunskoek came on for M. Gibasiewicz. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 49 minutes, Pilonetto did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, P. Gianello was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 1. Springlike's V. Mourinho made an attempt at equalising 62 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. F. Fontão of Pilonetto took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 76 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. L. Widerhall increased Pilonetto's lead to 0 - 3 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner. V. Flinkerberg wanted to play on, but the Pilonetto coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 78 minutes into the game by J. Laulumaa. Pilonetto enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

The most dominating Springlike player was without a doubt S. Backbier. P. Gagliardini turned in a dismal performance, however. Pilonetto's best player was A. De la Zarza. B. Lamolina on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 3.
