Hartshorne narrowly missed the free kick attempt that was awarded as a result of a foul. L. Marimon came close to putting the visiting team one up 14 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but U. Jabariego managed to tip the ball to a corner. After 20 minutes, the Mortimers coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Z. Duportail off the field. A. Kalderon took his place. Halftime score was 0 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Mortimers, with 59 percent of the ball.

0 - 1 was the score with 57 minutes played, after P. Rojas Caro cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Mortimers. After 60 minutes, the Mortimers players received new instructions from their manager on how to keep in control of the game. After a short break after 60 minutes, Mortimers seemed to change their tactical approach a bit. The Mortimers players could smell victory in the air. M. Bustos Fermoso wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for A. Elizalde after 60 minutes. J. Ruiz increased Mortimers's lead to 0 - 2 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Elizalde from Mortimers a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 72 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! J. Hernández hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving Mortimers's P. Rojas Caro an easy chance to knock it in for 0 - 3. After 78 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave P. Rojas Caro a chance to increase the lead for Mortimers, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 4. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for P. Rojas Caro. Escobilla's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 86 minutes gone, but A. Valladolid's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. Possession in this half belonged to Mortimers, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

Escobilla's best player was A. Breetveld. U. Jabariego turned in a dismal performance, however. P. Rojas Caro performed admirably for Mortimers. L. Petrilli was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 4.
