Planá 4 - 0 Březenecká (303573457)

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 32071 to Matric Arena. Klaus Wittmaack was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ronald Taylor and Rãzvan Dobos. Planá had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Al-Mansour - Rutešić, Bussigel, Nordbo - Beerlage, Burgher, Mischak, Florian, Uranga - Crijnen, Szücs.

Březenecká tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Ravel - Bochkin, Lyhskog, Silvestri - Silvo, Křesina, Van Ooteghem, Landeros, Nielsen - Fanariotis, Gros.

Today, Březenecká's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Attacking on the wings was the choice for Březenecká, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. 16 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Planá to take the lead after a good cross from the right found A. Uranga alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. They were singing the praises of K. Nordbo 24 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Planá. The crowd gasped as M. Crijnen of Planá was flattened by an opponent after 25 minutes and had to be carried off. B. Olsen came in off the bench. Planá were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 31 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by K. Nordbo. 2 - 0 for the home side. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Planá enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

Cheers filled the stadium as K. Nordbo broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Planá. That made three goals for K. Nordbo and he was marked down for the hat trick. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Planá lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. After 77 minutes Březenecká's V. Bochkin contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Planá scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for T. Bussigel after 80 minutes. R. Nielsen could've grabbed a goal for Březenecká 83 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave K. Nordbo from Planá a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 84 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Planá had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

Most important Planá player was T. Bussigel. F. Szücs was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Březenecká player was without a doubt J. Křesina. However, G. Gros made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 0.
