Clear skies welcomed the 12000 spectators who had made their way to
Wasser Werder.
Arto Teravainen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Erich Troger and
Andrea Stracciati.
Wilder decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
Lineup: Tisoň - Ondříček, Oharek, Návrat, Kropáček - Lacina, Velík, Relich, Roček - Holý, Vilkovský.
A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Stars.
They fielded: Daire - Závodník, Bonaccini, Fitzmaurice, Kelder - Nogieć, Josiek, Vallez, Navarro, Volpe - Fresneda.
Stars clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could.
After 4 minutes, Stars were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise.
A. Nogieć did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans.
The guests took the lead 8 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in
J. Josiek scoring to make it 0 - 1.
With 16 minutes played, Stars put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
P. Bonaccini.
The visitors'
G. Volpe took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 24 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Stars.
Confident in their lead, Stars's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
30 minutes into the game, Stars seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
passable.
E. Fresneda of Stars took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 35 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 4.
0 - 4 was the halftime score.
Stars enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Stars was able to get his message across, and raised Stars's organisation to
solid.
With 47 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
E. Fresneda of Stars to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 5.
An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 50 minutes into the match, putting Stars ahead 0 - 6.

P. Bonaccini got himself booked for a foul.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
G. Relich got himself booked. The manager of Wilder was not happy.
After 79 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
E. Fresneda who increased Stars's lead to 0 - 7.
At that,
E. Fresneda was noted down for a hat trick!
80 minutes into the game, Stars were awarded a penalty and
V. Závodník was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 8 rolling the ball in by the right post.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Stars, with 69 percent of the ball.
Wilder's best player was
S. Lacina.
However,
M. Kropáček made a disastrous appearance.
Most important Stars player was
E. Fresneda.
J. Daire was a disappointment, however.
