Credenza finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. The crowd chanted their encouragement as fc_Dinamo's A. Rubeksen came in from the right after 30 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 1 - 1. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Purple's T. Credenza after 31 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 - 2 lead. The referee showed Purple's E. Olteanu the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Unfortunately for fc_Dinamo, B. Bogaers was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. T. Leimich replaced him. After 37 minutes F. Chirită made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to I. Mihãescu who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 1 - 3. A. Bencze of Purple took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 38 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 4. V. Pană was, after 39 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper A. Madison made the save. 1 - 4 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by fc_Dinamo, with 51 percent of the ball.

The coach of Purple was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 67 minutes, A. Maset came on for T. Credenza. F. Chirită didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. The Purple players could smell victory in the air. J. Mäkiniemi wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for A. Modrev after 70 minutes. The sun seemed to put C. Pişu in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. A. Chawla tried to get a goal back for fc_Dinamo but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move. After 74 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave A. Maset a chance to increase the lead for Purple, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 5. fc_Dinamo refused to be intimidated and, breaking through the middle, C. Pişu managed to slip the ball home for 2 - 5. G. Grigore came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over A. Madison but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when A. Mordoch scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 3 - 5. Purple claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

Most important fc_Dinamo player was A. Cuomo. On the other hand, A. Madison's play was disheartening. F. Chirită performed admirably for Purple. A. Maset turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 5.
