Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 12000 to Warcryer Field. Bastien Kanthen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Crispin Kiser and Soltan Əfruzzadə. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Warcryer. Lineup: Koykov - Rochev, Marinov, Chichev, Grúncharov - Brigov, Dimov, Savov, Tzankov - Genchev, Stoin.

Demons had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation. They fielded: Gálvez - Magalhães, Fröér, Schnöller, Bauer, Reményi - Ávila, Tiilikka, Blaak, Dorschner - Wunderlin.

P. Tiilikka came close to putting the visiting team one up 9 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but S. Koykov managed to tip the ball to a corner. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Demons's H. Fröér after 12 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. Demons's H. Fröér was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 13 minutes. With 16 minutes played, Demons put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was K. Reményi. The players of Demons now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Demons increased their lead after 27 minutes when M. Wunderlin broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. 33 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as R. Dorschner finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. 0 - 4 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Demons, who controlled the ball 78 percent of the time.

A drive down the left side allowed M. Wunderlin to get in close and score another goal for Demons after 64 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 5. M. Wunderlin of Demons took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 72 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 6. At that, M. Wunderlin was noted down for a hat trick! The visitors' M. Wunderlin took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 76 minutes into the match. 0 - 7 for Demons. D. Blaak left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. F. Borgfeldt was the replacement. F. Borgfeldt was the new captain of Demons - handed the armband by the departing player. P. Tiilikka wanted to play on, but the Demons coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 80 minutes into the game by T. Hristov. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Demons coach let R. Martorana replace R. Dorschner after 80 minutes. Some things can only be learned through experience, and H. Fröér should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Warcryer a goal with 81 minutes of the match played. After 82 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed M. Wunderlin to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 8. A. Ávila was, after 84 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper S. Koykov made the save. In an effort to secure the lead, Demons changed their tactic after 89 minutes. Demons had most of the ball, with 82 percent of possession.

The most dominating Warcryer player was without a doubt B. Savov. However, S. Koykov made a disastrous appearance. Demons's best player was M. Wunderlin. J. Gálvez was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 8.
