Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 7086 at PecDenHaagD1 1998-20 Arena today. PecDenHaagD1 were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. In a rapid move 6 minutes into the match, A. Nica of WVF37 lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked P. Di Tullio who easily hit it home to make it 0 - 1. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy! 9 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as Á. Szatvári finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. With 22 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed P. Di Tullio of WVF37 to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, D. Fraulini got himself booked. The manager of WVF37 was not happy. The home crowd was not impressed when A. Nica came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 29 minutes. WVF37 were now up 0 - 4. By now, the players in WVF37 felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Always quick and a menace to his opponents, N. Hardies was very close to getting through after 33 minutes, but he could only put the ball into the keeper's arms. 34 minutes into the game a free kick by P. Di Tullio found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making WVF37's lead 0 - 5. By then P. Di Tullio had scored three goals - a hat trick! It was 0 - 5 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by WVF37, with 68 percent of the ball.

Against a lesser team, WVF37 could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 49 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. With 70 minutes played, the PecDenHaagD1 coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Y. de Vrijer came on, H. Bünyamin had to leave the fray. A. Nica increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 6. After 73 minutes, PecDenHaagD1 used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. WVF37 increased their lead after 76 minutes when Á. Szatvári broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 7, much to the home crowd's dismay. With 81 minutes played, WVF37 put themselves up 0 - 8 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was D. Fraulini. The coach of WVF37 was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 88 minutes, J. Sier came on for P. Di Tullio. A. Angevare left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 88 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. G. Melchers was the replacement. M. Scheffer wanted to play on, but the WVF37 coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 88 minutes into the game by R. Meerman. WVF37 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 72 percent.
