Falborg found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. With 44 minutes played, after a good run down the left, I. Gliga went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. With 44 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Bodyrockin resulted in a counterattack that set O. De Beni free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Impala had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.
