Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Camp de la Creu de Sant Salvador saw a crowd turnout of 29140. Matt Hvalsøe Schou was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mika Tuohino and Fritz Scharneder. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Catalunya derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. Botifarra started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Puig - Puigventós, Ferreres, Piñol - Frigola, Pellisé, Fontseré, Llopart, Macià - Soler, Sendrós.

Magnificos had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players took the field: Terovský - Delgado, Suárez, Cistue, Mónica - Acedo, Urquicia, Pallares, Pérez Calvo - Keunen, Martín García.

Botifarra tried to focus their attacks down the middle. Magnificos clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. The crowd was amused as D. Martín García of Magnificos used a few interesting tricks and dribbles to get into the penalty box. The finish by R. Acedo wasn't very amusing, however, as the ball flew way over the crossbar. It was obvious that team Botifarra had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. D. Llopart caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 32 minutes. This gave Botifarra the 1 - 0 lead. J. Cistue of Magnificos was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. D. Fontseré had a fantastic opportunity to put Botifarra up another goal 43 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. The score became 2 - 0 at 44 minutes into the game, when Botifarra were given a penalty which V. Frigola blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! It was 2 - 0 at the break. Botifarra claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

The Magnificos coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. Magnificos needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 60 minutes J. Cistue made way for T. Cleur. As the game started to slip away for Magnificos, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. Magnificos players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. With 62 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Magnificos showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 2 - 1 when H. Delgado got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Botifarra coach let M. Solís replace D. Llopart after 65 minutes. J. Sendrós left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 69 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. M. Català was the replacement. E. Mónica of Magnificos received a yellow card after 71 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. With 72 minutes gone, Botifarra had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, A. Ferreres did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. Botifarra's M. Solís got himself booked for a foul. The visitors refused to give in and, after 76 minutes, A. Urquicia evened things up as he finished off a perfect pass from the right. 2 - 2 They were singing the praises of A. Piñol 81 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 3 - 2 to Botifarra. Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.

The most dominating Botifarra player was without a doubt D. Fontseré. M. Puigventós turned in a dismal performance, however. Magnificos's best player was A. Urquicia. F. Suárez was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 2.
