The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but G. Schittl showed great heart and had a good game. H. Olesen could have put his team up another goal 38 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. H. Olesen received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 39 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Husmandsfinten fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Husmandsfinten had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

After 71 minutes, mat sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached L. Boi, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 1 - 2. What ever got into L. Olofsson, the crowd mumbled, as he suddenly struck a cross pass through his own defence - ending up right in front of mat's R. Delmas, who easily put the ball away for 2 - 2 after 76 minutes. T. Lundgaard came close to putting the visiting team one up 78 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but R. Skogin managed to tip the ball to a corner. V. Infante slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. M. Guia of mat received a yellow card after 84 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 85 minutes in, Husmandsfinten's T. Björnsson received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The visitors were very close to gaining the lead with a marvellous free kick after 86 minutes, but R. Skogin made a beautiful one-handed save. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Husmandsfinten, with 54 percent of the ball.

After the regular 90 minutes, the agony of extra time followed. With the score still deadlocked after extra time, the teams took to the field for a penalty shoot-out to decide the winner.

mat's F. Ellenberger coolly put the ball past M. Matsson. 3 - 2. Oooh - how unlucky! Husmandsfinten's M. Matsson attempt hit the underside of the bar, but rebounded down into the grateful arms of R. Skogin. The score stays 3 - 2. mat's V. Infante didn't look like he was confident as he stepped up, and produced a badly struck penalty - right into the arms of M. Matsson. The score remained 3 - 2. Husmandsfinten's B. Kettler looked like he knew exactly where he wanted to put the ball, but unfortunately his shot went wide of the left hand post. Still 3 - 2. When it comes to placing a ball precisely, R. Delmas is a real wizard. He put it safely away for mat to make the score 4 - 2. Husmandsfinten's G. Schittl showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 4 - 3. mat's M. Guia penalty shot was very well placed but M. Matsson went the right way, blocking it spectacularly. The score was still 4 - 3. Husmandsfinten's H. Olesen kept his cool as he faced down R. Skogin. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 4 - 4. mat's O. Teodorescu cockily booted the ball with a short-and-fast instep. The penalty, going just wide of the mark, didn't produce a goal. Husmandsfinten's M. Bar was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 4 - 5! mat's top performer was clearly M. Area. V. Infante was a disappointment, however. Most important Husmandsfinten player was Þ. Hannesson. G. Schittl turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 5.
