Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 22 minutes into the match, and I. Botonjič wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. G. Alemanno charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Smileyka, but the shot went well wide of the goal. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Falkenberg from štepanc a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 25 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 28 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for H. Zetber who increased štepanc's lead to 0 - 2. An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 37 minutes into the match, putting štepanc ahead 0 - 3. V. Bagonis was the scorer. 40 minutes into the game, E. Hacohen had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Z. Macešič. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Smileyka, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

A drive down the left side allowed H. Tidona to get in close and score another goal for štepanc after 65 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 4. After this, you could see that the players of štepanc were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. štepanc's V. Bagonis got himself booked for a foul. Smileyka's M. Koblar cut towards the middle after 72 minutes, receiving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, reducing the lead to 1 - 4. štepanc had to make a substitution after 80 minutes. Z. Macešič limped off the field and was replaced by G. Gaudin. F. van Hout sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from D. Koncilja after 81 minutes of play, making the score 2 - 4. Smileyka's G. Alemanno found himself alone on the left side 82 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! Smileyka had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

Smileyka's best player was G. Alemanno. M. Koblar was a disappointment, however. H. Zetber performed admirably for štepanc. G. Gaudin turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 4.
