Dark skies made the crowd of 55000 at Black Diamond a little nervous, but the rain held off. Niklas Sunesson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by David Terrier and Peter Karstensson. HotStreak were relying on their ability to counter-attack. 12 minutes into the game, P. Matei finished off a HotStreak left wing counterattack, making the score 0 - 1. HotStreak's counterattacks created a good chance for L. Costantino on the right after 29 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. Musta's S. Manninen put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 1 - 1 with 34 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. Musta's R. Lehtoniemi was shown a yellow card after 35 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 41 minutes, the defensive line of HotStreak created a counterattack through the middle that gave R. Atchison a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Musta, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

48 minutes into the game, J. Ahonzo was a hair's breadth away from giving HotStreak the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by I. Metsävuori saved the home team that time. The terraces were silenced after 69 minutes when HotStreak's R. Atchison put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right. The swift technical skills of M. Ranta were often too much for the tall but somewhat slow J. Ahonzo who was humiliated after 80 minutes. He'll be breathing a huge sigh of relief after the final shot went wide. HotStreak increased their lead after 84 minutes when L. Costantino broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. 87 minutes in, HotStreak's S. Sahlsten received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. G. Bilon was, after 87 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper I. Metsävuori made the save. HotStreak's A. Stigbom got himself booked for a foul. Musta enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

J. Rissanen performed admirably for Musta. I. Metsävuori on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important HotStreak player was G. Bilon. J. Ahonzo turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
