After some beautiful movement down the left wing, R. Zwagemaker scored for bau-bau putting them ahead 2 - 1, after 53 minutes. Q. Frankot could have put bau-bau up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 54 minutes. FCVLI played a good counterattacking move down the left 55 minutes into the match, with I. Hoellbacher finishing well for 2 - 2. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave F. Matla from FCVLI a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 65 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! M. Berners would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. I. Nechita entered the game for FCVLI as the match clock showed 70 minutes. bau-bau had a chance to take the lead after Q.
