Weyhe 5 - 2 Real
(337812834)

08-10-2011 18.00
Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 52000 at
Weyhe Arena today.
Andreas Hasselling was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Juan Gancedo and
Harald Vandenabeele.
Weyhe had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
They fielded: Schnickschnack - Bager, Gershon, Marin - Žunić, Tavernelli, Joba, Tinta, Porta - Lallane, Garassino.
A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Real.
The following players took the field: Santiago - Dantz, Wysseier, Dorarán - Boermans, Moennich, Peñate, Brinkkemper - Zampaglione, Paullin, Sierstorpff.
Real displayed their ability to play creatively.
Down the middle came
H. Sierstorpff, making a fantastic play that nearly had Real take the lead after 29 minutes, but
L. Schnickschnack preserved the tie.
H. Sierstorpff's speed was clear to see after 32 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released
M. Zampaglione who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 0 - 1.
After 33 minutes,
A. Garassino made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 1 - 1.
Weyhe's
R. Tinta tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
J. Brinkkemper from Real a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 43 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
A. Garassino was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Weyhe's
K. Multyk had to come off the bench.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1.
Weyhe enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.
H. Dorarán sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from
J. Wysseier after 50 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 2.
57 minutes into the match, Weyhe's
R. Tinta maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 2 - 2.
58 minutes into the match and the home team took a 3 - 2 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Weyhe was
J. Lallane.
After 62 minutes,
J. Tavernelli put Weyhe ahead 4 - 2 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Weyhe lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Weyhe scored another to make it 5 - 2 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
K. Multyk after 67 minutes.
L. Schnickschnack left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 83 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
E. Voßbergbogen was the replacement.
Possession in this half belonged to Weyhe, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.
Weyhe's best player was
J. Lallane.
R. Bager was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating Real player was without a doubt
H. Sierstorpff.
On the other hand,
J. Santiago's play was disheartening.
The match ends 5 - 2.
