The 12220 spectators at

Vytautas Kristanas and
Niko Rantasalo.
Banana decided to use a 5-3-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Haaning - Marcus, Duran, Spannraft, Surchi, Fußbahn - Sordi, Cuenca, Rodighiero - Maraspin, Eriksson.
Schalke had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.

Pressing was the tactic of the day for Banana.
Banana's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle.
At this time in the match, Banana were using their skill at pressing to successfully stifle the game.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
R. Spannraft got himself booked. The manager of Banana was not happy.
S. Rodighiero's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence.
The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to
S. Rodighiero, but the Banana player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0!
It was 1 - 0 at the break.
Banana claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.
Banana had to make a substitution after 49 minutes.
K. Haaning limped off the field and was replaced by
A. Zöbeli.
S. Rodighiero should probably have put his team up another goal after 75 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
J. Talaśka kept the visitors in the game.
A swift counterattack by Banana resulted in a free kick that
S. Rodighiero elegantly twisted into the goal - 2 - 0!
The players of Banana now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
79 minutes into the game,
P. Eriksson had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
M. Goryl.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
M. Maraspin squirmed through their central defence after 80 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0.
Schalke's
W. Poraziński was shown a yellow card after 85 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
A. Zöbeli was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Banana's
D. Chaclan had to come off the bench.
Banana put themselves up 4 - 0 when
D. Cuenca broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
Banana managed to extend their lead to 5 - 0 when
M. Maraspin cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
Banana's
S. Rodighiero struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 6 - 0 after 89 minutes.
This third goal completed a hattrick for
S. Rodighiero.
Z. Bem of Schalke was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Banana, with 58 percent of the ball.
Banana's top performer was clearly
R. Spannraft.
On the other hand,
D. Chaclan's play was disheartening.
H. Kosowski performed admirably for Schalke.
J. Talaśka on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 6 - 0.
