Zeljeznicar 0 - 5 Atomics (343019110)

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 12000 at FK Zeljeznicar star Stadion today. Samy Casset was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Keith Kirk and Jooseppi Paajanen. Zeljeznicar started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Starters: Calmar - Smidemann, Hesselballe, Al-Abir, Perçem - Brodersen, Have, Haj-Shareef, Holst - Niebe, Dam.

Atomics tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. The following players took the field: Bideau - Chebykin, Paulsson, Santaolalla, Clément - Dobriţoiu, Gawyler, Chiarelotto, Dzedzej - Røkke, Rykaczewski.

Today, Atomics's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. The visitors grabbed the lead after E. Rykaczewski's free kick succeeded, resulting in a score of 0 - 1. With 21 minutes played, Atomics put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was D. Dobriţoiu. 29 minutes in, Atomics's E. Rykaczewski received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. E. Paulsson's lack of experience almost gave Zeljeznicar a goal after 31 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. The home crowd was not impressed when T. Røkke came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 34 minutes. Atomics were now up 0 - 3. Confident in their lead, Atomics's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. Atomics enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

R. Brodersen almost reduced the deficit, having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper. The goal to make it 0 - 4 was scored by E. Rykaczewski after 47 minutes, following an opportunistic counterattack down the middle by Atomics. P. Gawyler could have put his team up another goal 53 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. E. Paulsson of Atomics received a yellow card after 55 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The visitors added to their lead 70 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Atomics's E. Rykaczewski slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 5. By then E. Rykaczewski had scored three goals - a hat trick! Atomics had most of the ball, with 70 percent of possession.

Zeljeznicar's best player was K. Have. G. Calmar on the other hand, had a terrible day. Atomics's top performer was clearly E. Rykaczewski. Ó. Santaolalla was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 5.
