Clear skies welcomed the 12000 spectators who had made their way to Bundesstadion. Ewald Reinders was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Bjørn Aabø and Tomi Pinola. Nutzhorn tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. They fielded: Schumacker - Lemming, Elbæk, Taaning, Lundgaard - Børgh, Ladefoged, Sørensen, Iversen - Abrahamsen, Falck.

Atomics started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Bideau - Chebykin, Santaolalla, Paulsson, Clément - Dobriţoiu, Gawyler, Chiarelotto, Dzedzej - Andersen, Rykaczewski.

Atomics were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Nutzhorn's B. Iversen was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 3 minutes. Players in Atomics heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. Atomics took the lead after 30 minutes making the score 0 - 1. P. Gawyler placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, E. Paulsson got himself booked. The manager of Atomics was not happy. A drive down the left side allowed E. Rykaczewski to get in close and score another goal for Atomics after 33 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. N. Clément was, after 37 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper B. Schumacker made the save. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Atomics, who controlled the ball 73 percent of the time.

After 48 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Ó. Santaolalla to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. B. Sørensen behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 57 minutes as he gave the ball away to P. Gawyler. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Attacking on the wings was the choice for Atomics, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. The home crowd was not impressed when E. Rykaczewski came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 67 minutes. Atomics were now up 0 - 4. When E. Paulsson made yet another studs-first tackle after 72 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the Atomics player for the second time, sending him off the pitch. Atomics had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. Atomics increased their lead after 76 minutes when A. Chiarelotto broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay. The players of Atomics now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The Atomics free kick 78 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of K. Chebykin, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 0 - 6! E. Rykaczewski increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 7. That made three goals for E. Rykaczewski and he was marked down for the hat trick. Atomics enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 77 percent of possession.

Nutzhorn's best player was A. Børgh. B. Schumacker on the other hand, had a terrible day. Atomics's top performer was clearly D. Dobriţoiu. N. Andersen was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 7.
