The 13616 spectators at
el ultimo stadium were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Bent Sitter was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Dean Tobin and
Bo Roslius.
ULTIMO started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Aberjel - von Holsten, Paris, Hove, Navío - Konstantinov, Angelov, Coulaud, Janauskis - Casillas, Örjansson.
INFIERNO had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation.
They fielded: Stodolec - Heilbronn, Davalós, Amuchástegui, Copa - Vercruyssen, Komenda, Giovanetti - Spanbauer, Botinelli, Barak.
ULTIMO used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
A. Paris of ULTIMO was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
With 18 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
Y. Barak put the ball away for 0 - 1.
A drive down the left side allowed
Y. Barak to get in close and score another goal for INFIERNO after 24 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2.
The INFIERNO free kick 36 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
C. Botinelli, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 0 - 3!
At this point, it was obvious that the players of INFIERNO lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
ULTIMO's
G. Konstantinov was shown a yellow card after 42 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
ULTIMO nearly produced a goal as
G. Konstantinov set up
M. Janauskis for a strike from a seemingly impossible angle. However he put the shot narrowly wide.
INFIERNO showed their counterattack skill 44 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with
Y. Barak scoring uncontested for 0 - 4.
That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for
Y. Barak.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4.

INFIERNO increased their lead after 55 minutes when
C. Botinelli broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay.
The sunny day didn't make things easy for
L. Örjansson who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch.
After 71 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
S. Davalós to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 6.
72 minutes into the game, INFIERNO worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch.
A. Paris remonstrated furiously with the referee after ULTIMO had another decision go against them. The referee had no alternative but to show him another yellow card and send him from the pitch.
Possession in this half belonged to INFIERNO, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.
P. Casillas performed admirably for ULTIMO.
On the other hand,
M. Angelov's play was disheartening.
The most dominating INFIERNO player was without a doubt
Y. Barak.
K. Komenda was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 0 - 6.
