Blancs 3 - 0 Agnicos
(344894583)

11-09-2011 23.00
It had rained all day, but 30324 hardy fans still made it out to
Les Ours Blancs Arena.
Taavetti Heloaro was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Olaf Kaltenhof and
Dominique Dérouin.
Blancs had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
The following players took the field: Miriokefalitakis - Duval, Solomon, Vigil, Roberts - Nkosi, Tran, Cameron, Davis - Collier, Logan.
Agnicos tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
Starters: Parsons - Boutall, Delorme, Lawrence, Dawson - Surowiec, Fortier, McCloud, Anđelić - Palmer, Holton.
The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like
I. Delorme.
M. Roberts gave Blancs the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0
M. McCloud made a good effort at breaking through on the right, but the home team's left defence cleared the ball to a corner.
A counterattack by Blancs after 37 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but
D. Tran, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off.
Thighs bulging,
K. Surowiec charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain.
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
Blancs enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Blancs's
D. Vigil increasing the lead to 2 - 0.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Blancs scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
J. Collier after 62 minutes.
Agnicos had to make a substitution after 77 minutes.
M. Parsons limped off the field and was replaced by
S. Ibn-Latif.
Agnicos's right side looked dangerous after 79 minutes, as
L. Palmer broke through.
Y. Miriokefalitakis continued to stifle them, however, as he made the save look easy.
Blancs's
D. Vigil had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 80 minutes having been played.
S. Sirois was the replacement.
B. Davis became the new Blancs captain.
M. Nkosi unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
Coming from the right,
S. Sirois almost managed to score another goal for Blancs, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.
Blancs had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.
The most dominating Blancs player was without a doubt
T. Logan.
On the other hand,
Y. Miriokefalitakis's play was disheartening.
Most important Agnicos player was
K. Surowiec.
S. Ibn-Latif was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 3 - 0.
