Due to an all-day shower, 24449 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
Gladiatorenes arena.
Henri Kardolus was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Job Cals and
Francisco Alberto López Dieguez.
GLK decided to use a 4-5-1 set up.
The following players took the field: Moon - Ontiveros, Gacki, Bower, Miller - Wiherkoski, Bessenyei, Yanez, Guyon, Schnetzinger - Zahariev.

After 10 minutes Hurricanes's
P. Wieghorst contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game.
At this time in the match, GLK were using their skill at pressing to successfully stifle the game.
It was a bad day for the usually speedy
S. Silva Rocha. The mud seemed to slow him down.
Halftime score was 0 - 0.
GLK had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.
46 minutes into the game, GLK wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
K. Bessenyei gave
G. Poloni a quick hug as he left the field.
T. Zahariev would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
S. Ayral entered the game for GLK as the match clock showed 46 minutes.
S. Silva Rocha's speed was clear to see after 52 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released
A. Özlü who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 0 - 1.
Had it not been for one of the home defenders,
M. Mughini would have put Hurricanes up another goal 74 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing.

H. Moon managed to tip the ball to a corner.
With 88 minutes played,
E. Wiherkoski of GLK fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.

Still tied after 90 minutes, the match continued into extra time.
With 106 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
D. Yanez needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
With 107 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
M. Mughini put the ball away for 1 - 2.
With that Hurricanes had won the game in extra time.
The most dominating GLK player was without a doubt
S. Ayral.
H. Moon was a disappointment, however.
M. Breiner performed admirably for Hurricanes.
However,
