Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 1575 at Municipal today. Flurin Schille was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Anders Molholt and Inaani Mutakanyi. Diamantul started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Starters: Doroftei - Amarandei, Eribe, Gedó, Cumpănaşu - Georgescu, Busuioc, Militaru, Pavel - Magosi, Grigorescu.

A 5-3-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Kr4k0v1tZ. The following players had been chosen: Del Valle - Naydenov, Kristiansen, Nicolas, Jarāns, Radziun - Libert, Marquand, Fromont - Burette, Menguy.

Diamantul used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Today, Kr4k0v1tZ's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 5 minutes, Diamantul did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, H. Georgescu was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 0. Kr4k0v1tZ bypassed the midfield with their counterattack, leading to a free kick goal by V. Fromont for 1 - 1. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when L. Naydenov was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 15 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! S. Kristiansen of Kr4k0v1tZ received a yellow card after 25 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Some great play up the middle by Diamantul led to a chance for C. Grigorescu to score after 31 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave L. Naydenov from Kr4k0v1tZ a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 36 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! C. Grigorescu's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Diamantul, he bravely continued in the match. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Diamantul claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 72 percent.

Kr4k0v1tZ had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 53 minutes, but M. Burette's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. H. Georgescu of Diamantul seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 2 - 1 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by B. Eribe. The Diamantul players could smell victory in the air. M. Gedó wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for S. Petean after 60 minutes. T. Magosi wanted to play on, but the Diamantul coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 70 minutes into the game by C. Ionescu. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Diamantul coach let G. Gheorghiţă replace C. Grigorescu after 70 minutes. As D. Menguy had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the Kr4k0v1tZ player a red card without batting an eyelid. L. Cumpănaşu could have put Diamantul up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 83 minutes. J. Radziun made a good effort at breaking through on the right, but the home team's left defence cleared the ball to a corner. Diamantul enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 69 percent of possession.

B. Eribe performed admirably for Diamantul. S. Petean turned in a dismal performance, however. Kr4k0v1tZ's best player was L. Naydenov. M. Burette on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 1.
