A scorching day at
the black stadium, where 2190 spectators were in place for today's match.
Christoph Motter was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Benny Ericsson and
Tomi Spina.
jimidrix decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Sakhtyani - Nembri, Paasijoki, Giaretta, Håkansson - Černý, Cardoso, Iotti, Wolbrink - Galindo, Nápoles.
Baraka started off with a 3-4-3 lineup.
Starters: Cardenal - Rosales, Pallares, Chías - Vesada, Jalowski, Luque, Laurnagaray - Centellas, Jayaga, Carpintero.
F. Galindo caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 4 minutes. This gave jimidrix the 1 - 0 lead.
S. Černý made a nice dash down the wing after 26 minutes, but was unable to get the cross into the box. A goal kick was awarded.
Baraka made it 1 - 1 as
J. Jalowski got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to
B. Rosales who whipped a low drive in off the far post.
After 32 minutes,
T. Paasijoki came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 2 - 1, giving jimidrix the lead.
35 minutes into the game, jimidrix were awarded a penalty that
F. Galindo turned into 3 - 1 without a problem.
After 36 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Baraka found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
weak.
3 - 1 was the halftime score.
Possession in this half belonged to jimidrix, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Baraka was able to get his message across, and raised Baraka's organisation to
passable.
The fierce heat made it important to save breath, and after a few swift runs
S. Černý found it hard to get back into position.
jimidrix solidified their lead at the 62 minute mark, as
Z. Giaretta dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 1.
Confident in their lead, jimidrix's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
jimidrix's
F. Galindo struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 5 - 1 after 72 minutes.
By then
F. Galindo had scored three goals - a hat trick!
The sun seemed to put
J. Laurnagaray in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by jimidrix, with 67 percent of the ball.
jimidrix's top performer was clearly
F. Galindo.
On the other hand,
I. Sakhtyani's play was disheartening.
The most dominating Baraka player was without a doubt
C. Luque.
G. Vesada was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 5 - 1.
