STARS 1 - 0 Obiniza
(348590585)

19-10-2011 14.00
The 5375 fans in attendance at
BRNO STARS Arena were roasting in the hot sun.
Pablo Robledo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Krzysztof Paluch and
henekoto Caden.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for STARS.
Starters: Kuliński - Ondráček, Podlaski, Běloch - Porázik, Lasák, Hrouda, Křížan, Dyrberg - Košík, Paloka.
Obiniza decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Tälli - Ruiz, Tedesco, Stevenhagen - Köök, Rönö, Johannesen, Haud, Rasskazov - Müür, Violante.
With 19 minutes played
A. Košík almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide.
It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why
V. Paloka found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0.
STARS claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.
K. Dyrberg gave STARS the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0
STARS's
S. Běloch swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball.
The STARS players could smell victory in the air.
A. Košík wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
C. Caeiro after 65 minutes.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 69 minute mark, Obiniza's
I. Rasskazov hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
As usual,
R. Müür tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
J. Lasák from STARS a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 77 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
M. Kuliński left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
R. Favasuli was the replacement.
When
J. Lasák made yet another studs-first tackle after 84 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the STARS player for the second time, sending him off the pitch.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by STARS, with 53 percent of the ball.
STARS's best player was
S. Porázik.
However,
R. Favasuli made a disastrous appearance.
Obiniza's top performer was clearly
T. Violante.
I. Rasskazov on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 1 - 0.
