The players of nezaales now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. After 30 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by V. Glukhikh might have resulted in another goal for nezaales. However, L. Shklyarenko made a spectacular save. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by nezaales, with 68 percent of the ball.

nezaales had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. nezaales solidified their lead at the 47 minute mark, as L. Ziemiņš broke through, making the score 5 - 0 for nezaales. 74 minutes into the game, nezaales seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to solid. It wasn't a good day at all for T. Meirāns. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. Reperi's V. Kapitāns was shown a yellow card after 79 minutes for slicing down an opponent. nezaales enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 76 percent of possession.
