Velingrad Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Jesús Manuel Pérez Ponce was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Bill Persson and
Thierry De Munter.
Velingrad started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of RUSE.

E. Uldanck received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 61 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 5. The RUSE fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
G. Wölfer's lightning pace was too much for
O. Kozlev who could only look on as the RUSE player blasted one home. 0 - 6.
The home crowd was not impressed when
C. Rodríguez came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 74 minutes. RUSE were now up 0 - 7.
After 79 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
A. Petrushev who increased RUSE's lead to 0 - 8.
The visitors'

Some fine movement on the left led to a RUSE goal after 83 minutes, making it 0 - 10.
