Down the middle came M. Federigui, making a fantastic play that nearly had Piratona take the lead after 14 minutes, but S. Irazazábal preserved the tie. 26 minutes into the game, È. Riba had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came I. Vilardefrancos. Piratona's S. Estrader proved that he's been around on a football pitch before, when he took advantage of a few moments of confusion in the opposition's defensive line and elegantly scored for 0 - 1. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.

Monreal's J. López left the field after 62 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was J. Mulero. In the lead, Piratona adjusted their style of play with 67 minutes gone. With 68 minutes played, Monreal's F. Aldea found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave E. Sancho from Piratona a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 70 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! J. Mulero was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Monreal's P. Sánchez had to come off the bench. After 72 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for F. Palafox who increased Piratona's lead to 0 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Piratona, with 52 percent of the ball.

O. Sanz performed admirably for Monreal. P. Sánchez on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Piratona player was without a doubt F. Palafox. F. Igal was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
