previous 5/10 next 7/10  D.luffy 0 - 0 La Samp (354174457)

Clouds darkened the skies at VogueMerry as 30150 spectators turned up for the match. Lauri-Pekka Pajunen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Clement Eenstek and Walter Schmatterig. D.luffy tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Cerda - Valet, Caillault, Stružka - Durot, Zelz, Xhufi, Garcia, Bernard - Cabrera, Yong Leng.

La Samp started off with a 5-4-1 lineup. Starters: Sabogal - Rederer, Jankowicz, Leuchi, Carchidio, Iruso - Make, Belluardo, Oliviero, Galet - Ahlroth.

D.luffy preferred to finish off their attacks from a distance. La Samp's R. Make got himself booked for a foul. M. Valet of D.luffy had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. E. Lambert came in to finish the match. After 20 minutes D.luffy's Y. Cerda limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. L. Carchidio's lack of experience almost gave D.luffy a goal after 29 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. At 39 minutes played, J. Cabrera came in from the right with the intention of giving D.luffy the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. D.luffy enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

55 minutes in, D.luffy's K. Xhufi received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. D.luffy's A. Garcia's long shot really ought to have found the net 62 minutes into the match, but it fell just wide of the target. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave L. Carchidio from La Samp a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 70 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Unfortunately for D.luffy, J. Bernard was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. G. Quignon replaced him. L. Yong Leng would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. M. Springer entered the game for D.luffy as the match clock showed 75 minutes. R. Make knew he was in trouble after hacking down an opponent. Despite his pleading with the referee, the La Samp player was shown a second yellow card and dismissed from the game. There was no way D.luffy's M. Zelz could continue to play after this, and no replacements were available! Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by D.luffy, with 68 percent of the ball.

Most important D.luffy player was K. Xhufi. E. Lambert turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating La Samp player was without a doubt J. Ahlroth. However, F. Oliviero made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 0.
