Kimberley 0 - 4 Real (358901164)

A scorching day at Dirty Realism Cathedral, where 55091 spectators were in place for today's match. Timothy Handy was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Viktor Spiller and Marko Tomić. A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Kimberley. The following players took the field: Ibrahim - Gama, Anderson, Hobson, Rasulov - Kayruk, Finlay, McCauley, Kamtekar, MacCarrghamhna - Wang.

Real had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Dawson - Lucas, Eaton, Stephen - Denton, Vokac, Garbe, Rusk, Ietswaart - Fasham, Coshutt.

After 4 minutes, Real were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. J. Garbe did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Real took the lead after 5 minutes making the score 0 - 1. J. Garbe placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Real increased their lead after 9 minutes when S. Coshutt broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Real had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

K. Denton's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 47 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to D. Fasham who knocked it in for Real. 0 - 3! M. Ietswaart received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 53 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The Real fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The players of Real now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Usually a powerful player on the field, M. McCauley looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. With 71 minutes played, D. Wang was very close to reducing the score for Kimberley with a low drive from the left, but a defender stuck his foot out just in the nick of time, blocking the shot to a corner. Kimberley's J. Gama managed a superb strike from the left after 82 minutes that would have left goalkeeper B. Dawson without a chance, had it not hit the post. Possession in this half belonged to Real, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

G. Ibrahim performed admirably for Kimberley. However, N. Kamtekar made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Real player was without a doubt D. Fasham. B. Dawson on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 4.
