previous 5/10 next 7/10  Schultz 3 - 3 Jacob (362624672)

A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 1932 to AC Schultz Arena. Johan Wennblad was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Micke Tuvquist and Tomas Börjesson. Schultz started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. Starters: Siggaard - Astrup Jensen, Smidt - Schnell, Ludvigsen, Bork, Moestrup, Sırat - Wied, Kristiansen, Bukhave.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Jacob. The following players took the field: Nahon - Caspersen, Gjødvad, Rømer - Sveen, Lassen, Pagter, Götterup, Holstein - Dyngby, Weerman.

Schultz broke through on the left 2 minutes into the game, with E. Bukhave firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. Schultz managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when E. Bukhave cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. The referee showed Jacob's J. Caspersen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why J. Gjødvad found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. Jacob managed to reduce the score to 2 - 1 as M. Rømer finished off a well-played combination from the left, easily carving through the defence. The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come after 40 minutes, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but M. Siggaard got the best of it, blocking the shot from U. Götterup. The crowd was silenced 41 minutes into the match as the visiting team's J. Gjødvad came in from the left, levelling the score to 2 - 2. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 2. Jacob claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 62 percent.

Some great play up the middle by Schultz led to a chance for K. Astrup Jensen to score after 50 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Schultz fans held their breath as E. Bukhave scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 3 - 2! This third goal completed a hattrick for E. Bukhave. An equalising goal seemed certain after 76 minutes when K. Lassen attacked down the left wing, but M. Siggaard just managed to make a save to keep the ball out of the net. The visiting team's M. Rømer was able to score the 3 - 3 equaliser with a header 81 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. Possession in this half belonged to Jacob, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.

The most dominating Schultz player was without a doubt E. Bukhave. B. Ludvigsen on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Jacob player was L. Weerman. However, C. Nahon made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 3.
