Lokomotive 4 - 2 Androids
(362664807)

20-12-2011 18.30
4718 spectators arrived at
Ilgen-Kampfbahn, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Jean-Pierre Pluot was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Kim Kidman and
Borja Naveira.
Lokomotive tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: Tack - Kokkinias, Mitsch, Au - Abbasi, Vrubelevsky, Ghilotti, Sedelmayer, Steimüller - Nagel-Neu, Kassmannhuber.
Androids started off with a 4-3-3 lineup.
The following players took the field: Collados - del Prado, Rabulan, Escudé, Garcesa - Courte, Bassett, Ausems - Bertolè, Pirondini, Belloga.
Androids used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
Making his way up the middle 12 minutes into the match,
L. Au almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert
F. Collados blocked it to keep the score level.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
P. Belloga from Androids a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 13 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
26 minutes into the game, Androids wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
F. Collados gave
D. Cervera a quick hug as he left the field.
After 27 minutes, Androids's
P. Pirondini made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1.
The crowd chanted their encouragement as Lokomotive's
N. Abbasi came in from the right after 29 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 1 - 1.
After 32 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Androids found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
passable.
Lokomotive's
M. Mitsch was shown a yellow card after 43 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
1 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Lokomotive, with 67 percent of the ball.
The Androids players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a
solid organisation when the game started again.
As the 46 minute mark approached, the Lokomotive coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Y. Kokkinias reluctantly made way for
N. Konecny on the pitch.
46 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Lokomotive substitution.
M. Schillinger came on for
D. Nagel-Neu.
Androids were great at switching from defence to attack, and after 49 minutes,
R. Courte swept through the middle on a counterattack, making the score 1 - 2.
The referee showed Androids's
E. Ausems the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Due to a severely mistimed tackle,
O. Kassmannhuber of Lokomotive spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game.
With 56 minutes having been played, Lokomotive scored to make it 2 - 2. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but
H. Sedelmayer was marked down as the scorer.
63 minutes into the match and the home team took a 3 - 2 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Lokomotive was
S. Ghilotti.
With 64 minutes played, Lokomotive put themselves up 4 - 2 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
N. Abbasi, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
Unfortunately for Androids,
A. Garcesa suffered a concussion after 65 minutes and had to be taken for tests. The coach had his head in his hands after realising he could not send a replacement onto the pitch, and the team had to continue a man short.
Lokomotive had most of the ball, with 69 percent of possession.
Lokomotive's top performer was clearly
F. Steimüller.
L. Au turned in a dismal performance, however.
Androids's best player was
P. Belloga.
However,
D. Cervera made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 4 - 2.
