The crowd of 1047 turning up at FC Kinky Bodil Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Joe Tamaikona was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Hugues Lallement and Paul Brisson. Kinky started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Gunnarsson - Billeskov, Søgaard, Balling - Rohden, Rossi, Spanhaak, Falling - Bertelsen, Starck, Becker.

BlomsterBørn had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Starters: Løvendahl Johansen - Sánchez Recio, Duna, Elmose - Comandini, Grafl, Lippert, Shikov, Pyasetskiy - Biernacki, Wästerlius.

The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit J. Bertelsen just fine. As the 28 minute mark approached, the BlomsterBørn coach decided it was time for a substitution. V. Duna reluctantly made way for N. Røll Larsen on the pitch. 30 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a BlomsterBørn substitution. B. Pedersen came on for V. Comandini. Kinky created a good opportunity to score 31 minutes into the match when A. Spanhaak's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. S. Becker slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. J. Wästerlius would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. K. Sonne entered the game for BlomsterBørn as the match clock showed 36 minutes. 38 minutes into the game, A. Lippert had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. BlomsterBørn claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.

The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of BlomsterBørn's Y. Pyasetskiy after 61 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. D. Balling showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 67 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. When K. Løvendahl Johansen left the game because of a back injury after 69 minutes, BlomsterBørn had to continue a man short due to there being no available replacements. With the goal left unguarded, N. Røll Larsen had to leave his normal position and pick up the gloves. Having just succeeded in blocking a dangerous counter attack, the defending team was outwitted by the follow-up Kinky free kick. The routine was expertly executed as the ball was shifted quickly to one side of the box, then back to the other. D. Balling appeared on cue near the post, and steered it past the goalie. 2 - 1, after 72 minutes. O. Gunnarsson's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from N. Elmose's shot from the left 73 minutes into the match. Possession in this half belonged to BlomsterBørn, who controlled the ball 70 percent of the time.

J. Bertelsen performed admirably for Kinky. E. Rossi turned in a dismal performance, however. BlomsterBørn's best player was A. Lippert. On the other hand, N. Røll Larsen's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 1.
