Höllenbach 0 - 2 Giugliano
(363711823)

26-01-2012 02.15
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 2230 that came out to
KAISEN F.C. Monumental.
Christian Specker was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mauricio Andrés 'de mummie' Rodriguez and
Vicente Corbalán.
The match took place on neutral ground.
Höllenbach started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
The following players took the field: Aumayr - Maulklaue, Kulicke, Al-Busaidy, Constantin - Rubelt, Blechschmidt, Qais, Al-Sarhany, Traicu - Hammi.
Giugliano decided to use a 2-5-3 set up.
They fielded: Munzel - Baeten, Capriglia - Landi, Beulich, Bãnutã, Dekkers, Madeira - Guns, Bonastre, Anthopoulos.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Höllenbach.
It was an obvious ambition of Giugliano to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
The most controversial moment of the game was likely the penalty given after 6 minutes. Giugliano's
M. Beulich kept his concentration, despite the upset crowd, and calmly put the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 1.
A. Bonastre's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence.
Giugliano had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead.
35 minutes into the game, Giugliano worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch.
A. Constantin was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Höllenbach with a strike from the left, but
K. Munzel managed to ward the shot off for a corner.
Halftime score was 0 - 1.
Giugliano claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.
Giugliano were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
I. Anthopoulos after 64 minutes, and prevented Giugliano from going up another goal.
A counterattack by Höllenbach after 65 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but
H. Rubelt, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Giugliano coach let
S. Arca replace
M. Beulich after 80 minutes.
H. Rubelt didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play.
The heat made it a terrible day for
P. Blechschmidt, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players.
M. Traicu charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Höllenbach, but the shot went well wide of the goal.
After 89 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
M. Capriglia who increased Giugliano's lead to 0 - 2.
Giugliano's
T. Dekkers got himself booked for a foul.
Giugliano had to make a substitution after 89 minutes.
A. Bonastre limped off the field and was replaced by
B. Kutyej.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Giugliano, with 61 percent of the ball.
Höllenbach's best player was
L. Hammi.
On the other hand,
H. Rubelt's play was disheartening.
Giugliano's top performer was clearly
Y. Guns.
K. Munzel was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 0 - 2.
