Clouds darkened the skies at MONUMENTAL FALLAS F.C. CAMP as 4387 spectators turned up for the match. Silvio Jarvis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Einar Lagermar and Herman Edborg. FALLAS started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. At this point, it was obvious that the players of FALLAS lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. J. Lombera left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 30 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. M. Ríos was the replacement. FALLAS put themselves up 3 - 0 when M. Fernández broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. After 33 minutes, Balboa's R. Infante fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! B. Quintero should probably have put his team up another goal after 34 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by F. Hurtado kept the visitors in the game. In a rapid move 41 minutes into the match, J. Trejos of FALLAS lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked M. Fernández who easily hit it home to make it 4 - 0. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy! FALLAS solidified their lead at the 42 minute mark, as M. Ríos dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 0. It was 5 - 0 at the break. FALLAS claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 91 percent.

B. Quintero wanted to play on, but the FALLAS coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by M. Herrera. FALLAS's B. Ramírez got himself booked for a foul. The coach of FALLAS was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, E. Eliz came on for M. Fernández. FALLAS increased the lead as E. Eliz struck to make the score 6 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. FALLAS put in a good effort on the right, but E. Alfaro saw his volley fly wide of the mark 71 minutes into the game. After 75 minutes, O. Scaranari put FALLAS ahead 7 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. With 82 minutes of the game having been played, A. Jobczyk received a blow to the hip in a collision and was unable to continue. FALLAS, with no available replacements, now faced the prospect of finishing the game with a reduced number of players. M. Ayşin was the new captain of FALLAS - handed the armband by the departing player. M. Herrera's experience almost gave FALLAS a goal after 84 minutes but the keeper made a great save. B. Ramírez increased the lead for FALLAS to 8 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Possession in this half belonged to FALLAS, who controlled the ball 93 percent of the time.

The most dominating FALLAS player was without a doubt D. Obregón. On the other hand, M. Ríos's play was disheartening. Balboa's top performer was clearly S. Dalla Valle. F. Grillo on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 8 - 0.
